At Allegria Wine Cellars, our true passion lies in crafting Pinot Noir from prestige single vineyards across Northern California's renowned Sonoma and Napa Valleys. Our current releases embody the spirit of the North Coast, reflecting the diverse and exceptional terroirs that rival the finest wines globally. We meticulously source grapes from prestigious North Coast AVAs; the cool, fog-kissed vineyards of Carneros provide ideal conditions for our elegant Pinot Noir, while the powerful winds and cool climate of the Petaluma Gap contribute to wines of exceptional structure and complexity. From the steep, sun-drenched slopes of Moon Mountain, we also coax out robust Cabernet Sauvignon, and we craft exceptional Chardonnay from select sites, expanding our portfolio of luxurious wines, each telling a unique story of its origin.

The Petaluma Gap

The Petaluma Gap AVA is truly defined by its name – a natural wind gap that funnels consistently strong, cooling breezes and fog from the Pacific Ocean and San Pablo Bay inland. This constant air movement, unique among California AVAs, leads to lower yields, thicker grape skins, and extended hang time for Pinot Noir. The resulting wines are characterized by vibrant acidity, a firm structure, and a captivating interplay of red and blue fruit notes, often with intriguing earthy and savory undertones, culminating in a fresh, delineated style.

Moon Mountain

Perched on the steep, rugged western slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains, Moon Mountain AVA offers a distinctly different terroir for Pinot Noir. While primarily known for its powerful Cabernet Sauvignon, the cooler, higher elevation pockets within Moon Mountain, particularly those with southwestern exposures, can yield remarkable Pinot Noir. Here, the vines contend with rocky, volcanic soils and intense sun exposure tempered by crosswinds, leading to smaller, thicker-skinned berries. This challenging environment results in concentrated, dark-fruited Pinot Noirs with a savory complexity, sometimes hinting at black olive or anise, and a robust structure that sets them apart from their more delicate valley-floor counterparts.

Carneros

Straddling both Napa and Sonoma counties, Carneros stands out for its profound maritime influence, making it one of the coolest and windiest AVAs in both regions. The persistent morning fog and cooling breezes from the San Pablo Bay create a long, gentle growing season that allows Pinot Noir to ripen slowly while retaining crucial acidity. This translates to elegant and balanced Pinot Noirs often showcasing bright red fruit (cherry, raspberry, cranberry), along with distinctive earthy, spicy, and sometimes mushroomy notes, all supported by silky tannins and a crisp, refreshing finish.

Allegria Wine Cellars is excited to announce our new mission: to source and develop wines from the exceptional vineyards of Oregon. We're eager to explore the unique terroir of top AVAs such as the Willamette Valley, with its celebrated sub-appellations like the Dundee Hills, Eola-Amity Hills, and Chehalem Mountains. This expansion allows us to further our commitment to crafting world-class Pinot Noir and other varietals, bringing the beauty and sophistication of Oregon's wine country to Allegria Cellars. Join us in celebrating quality and luxury as we embark on this exciting new chapter.

Our commitment has been that to own a bottle of our wine, you would have to enjoy the pilgrimage to California, meet with our team, explore the options and become part of our . Allegria is not sold in distribution, restaurants, or retail stores. Our wines are limited in production and availability. The Allegria Wine Club Membership is our way of sharing these small-production wines with our followers.

The Ribbon Ridge Club is designed to showcase our wine/s and create an offering that gives Club Members just the right amount of wine so they can drink upon arrival and have some to stash away. As a member, you will receive a 6-bottle allocation in the spring and fall each year.

The Mountain Club offers the same exceptional wine/s but you will receive a 12-bottle allocation in the spring and fall each year. Visits are private and by appointment only.
